Nina Kasper

Latin-American vocalist, cellist, pianist, and pedagogue Andreina Kasper began
her formal music training under her mother, María Antonieta Salas, at the age of twelve years old. She attended the prestigious New World School of the Arts in Miami, where she studied cello under Aaron Merrit. During this time, Ms. Kasper also took chamber music classes and orchestral studies at Florida International University where she played under the baton of Carlos Riazuelo and studied cello with Javier Arias.

In 2009, Ms. Kasper got invited to participate at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, where she worked with Ivo Jan Van der Werff from Rice University. While in Texas, she received an invitation to sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Venezuelan Embassy of Houston.

In 2010, she was the principal cellist at the International Music Festival in Philadelphia, where she was coached by members of the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra such as: Kimberly Fischer and Udi-Bar David. In 2013, she began studying privately with David Cole (Lynn University) and in 2015, with Jason Calloway (FIU). In 2019, she was invited to participate at the chamber music festival LyricaFest in Lincoln, MA.

In Miami, she participated in a series of master classes dictated at Florida International University where she worked with renowned violinist Laura Bossert (2016). She has also preformed with many internationally acclaimed artists at the Latin Grammys, Billboard Awards, Lo Nuestro Awards, and Premios Juventud. She has worked with a plethora of celebrities such as Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Andrea Bocelli, Marc Anthony, Jeniffer Lopez, Il Volo, Ruben Studdard, David Bisbal, Alejandro Fernandez, Luis Fonsi, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Oscar D’Leon.

As a recording artist, she has also performed for several soap operas by Telemundo and Univision, for two participating movies at the Cannes Film Festival and for Micro-Teatro Miami. As a vocalist, Ms. Kasper has portrayed lead roles such as “Janet” from Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Emcee” from Cabaret, “Antonia” from Man of la Mancha, and most recently debuted in two different productions of Once the Musical as “Bank Manager,” in various regional theaters in Florida and Connecticut.

As director, she has worked on a production of Oliver the Musical, and The Producers, in addition to composing original music for new theatrical productions.

A dedicated teacher, she has been instructing piano, cello and voice for over 12 years. Several of her vocal students have participated in competitions such as The Voice Kids, America’s Got Talent (Golden Buzzer-Angelina Green), and the Big Dreams Competition in Miami.

As a cellist, she has worked in the Miami Symphony (MISO) under the baton of maestro Eduardo Marturet, Eugene Kohn and Alondra de la Parra. In 2013, she was

invited to sing at the Miami Life Awards and the World Out Games where she received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Major of Miami because of her artistic influence in the city. She has worked for Miami Children’s Theater, Imaginarium, Ginsberg Productions, Actor’s Playhouse, Ivoryton Playhouse and Evening Star Productions. In 2019, she was an invited guest artist and soloist with the Lyrica Chamber Orchestra in Virginia.

Her voice instructors have been Karen Hall, Carlo Gazanini and Mary Walkley. Ms. Kasper currently studies under Angela Gooch at the Longy School of Music of Bard College. Her acting coach has been Wayne LeGette and her piano teachers Odart Graterol and Javier Sardinas. She has studied cello with María Salas, Konstatine Litnevenko, and most recently with Dr. Terry King.

Her beautiful cello was commissioned for her and was built by the Mexican luthier Carlo Gazanini in Montreal.
