Patrick Shaughnessy
Mr. Shaughnessy earned his bachelor’s of music at the Florida State University College of Music under the tutelage of former NY Philharmonic Concertmaster Eliot Chapo. He continued his studies at the Boston Conservatory of Music, receiving his Master’s with Professor Irina Muresanu. Mr. Shaughnessy holds Chamber music degrees from Kent State University and Montclair State University where he earned both a Master’s in Chamber music and an Artist Diploma under the mentorship of the Miami and Shanghai string quartets. In 2019, Mr. Shaughnessy gave his Carnegie hall debut as 1st violinist of the Heimat Quartet. He lives in Winchester, VA where the quartet is in residence for the 2019/2020 season at the Shenandoah University.
